Hello Families,
Live from Africa is the update from last week's class. Look how far away I had to go to get my act together? Maren, my husband, and I are doing well. We arrived in Uganda on Saturday afternoon, your time (late at night Africa-time). On Sunday morning we travelled the three hours from Entebbe to Good Shepherd's Fold, stopping in Kampala for lunch along the way to meet some of the GSF missionaries who brought Patricia along with them. What a great experience! I've been updating here if you are interested www.theshawsomeblog.blogspot.com
I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that Melissa will be filling in for me tomorrow as well as on February 1st. She has tutored this age in past years and is very familiar with most of the kids as well as the age group.
Everyone is up for a presentation on a timeline card tomorrow if you able to prepare one. Maren went last week and did a fantastic job on Creation, including discussing her favorite part of creation, the light, with some verses from Genesis 1:3-5.
Melissa will keep me posted on how class goes tomorrow and I will post again in the next day or two. I told her that the Memory Marbles jar will possibly be filled on Feb 1st, in which case we will have a party on the Tuesday I return. She will also pass out new copies of the Learning Log to those who need them so that the kids can continue to record drilling and map practice.
Maren and I will miss you all tomorrow! Have a fantastic day of learning.
Blessings,
Mrs Shaw
